2023-10-18mojom: pipeline: ipa: rpi: Add fields for PiSP objectsNaushir Patuck
Add the PiSP Frontend and Backend SharedMemObject file descriptors to the ipa::init() call. This will allow the pipeline handler to pass these objects to the IPA after construction. Add a flag to indicate if buffer swaps are needed when starting the ISP for the stitch block. Do not advertise colour related controls (i.e. [A]WB, colour saturation) in the ControlInfoMap of available controls returned out to the application. Silently ignore these controls in the control handler in case applications don't use the advertised ControlInfoMap to validate controls. Restructure the IPA mojom interface to be more consistent in the use of the API. Function parameters are now grouped into *Params structures and results are now returned in *Results structures. The following pipeline -> IPA interfaces have been removed: signalQueueRequest(libcamera.ControlList controls); signalIspPrepare(ISPConfig data); signalStatReady(uint32 bufferId, uint32 ipaContext); and replaced with: prepareIsp(PrepareParams params); processStats(ProcessParams params); signalQueueRequest() is now encompassed within prepareIsp(). The following IPA -> pipeline interfaces have been removed: runIsp(uint32 bufferId); embeddedComplete(uint32 bufferId); statsMetadataComplete(uint32 bufferId, libcamera.ControlList controls); and replaced with the following async calls: prepareIspComplete(BufferIds buffers); processStatsComplete(BufferIds buffers); metadataReady(libcamera.ControlList metadata); Signed-off-by: Naushir Patuck <naush@raspberrypi.com> Reviewed-by: Jacopo Mondi <jacopo.mondi@ideasonboard.com> Signed-off-by: Laurent Pinchart <laurent.pinchart@ideasonboard.com>

The BufferMask enum provides a way of identifying which stream a frame buffer belongs to. This enum is defined in the raspberrypi.mojom interface file. However, the IPA does not need these enum definitions to mmap buffers that it uses. 2022-06-29pipeline: ipa: raspberrypi: Correctly report available control limitsNaushir Patuck
The ipa currently advertises a static ControlInfoMap to specify the available controls and their limits. Fix this limitation by having the IPA populate a new ControlInfoMap with updated limits for ExposureTime, AnalogueGain, and FrameDurationLimits controls based on the current sensor mode. This new ControlInfoMap is then returned back to the pipeline handler and available to the application after a successful Camera::configure() call. Before the first call to Camera::configure(), this ControlInfoMap provides some reasonable default limits for ExposureTime, AnalogueGain, and FrameDurationLimits. However, applications must not rely on these values, but obtain the correct limits after the call to Camera::configure(). 2022-06-29pipeline: ipa: raspberrypi: Move ControlInfoMap to the IPANaushir Patuck
Currently the pipeline handler advertises controls handled by the IPA from a static ControlInfoMap defined in the raspberrypi.h header. This change removes this header file, and instead the IPA returns the ControlInfoMap to the pipeline handler from the ipa::init() function. This is done to allow the IPA to adjust the limits of the controls based on the sensor mode in a subsequent change. 2021-03-04pipeline: ipa: raspberrypi: Pass exposure/gain values to IPA though controlsNaushir Patuck
When running with sensors that had no embedded data, the pipeline handler would fill a dummy embedded data buffer with gain/exposure values, and pass this buffer to the IPA together with the bayer buffer. The IPA would extract these values for use in the controller algorithms. Rework this logic entirely by having a new RPiCameraData::BayerFrame queue to replace the existing bayer queue. In addition to storing the FrameBuffer pointer, this also stores all the controls tracked by DelayedControls for that frame in a ControlList. This includes include exposure and gain values. On signalling RPi::IPA_EVENT_SIGNAL_ISP_PREPARE IPA event, the pipeline handler now passes this ControlList from the RPiCameraData::BayerFrame queue. The IPA now extracts the gain and exposure values from the ControlList instead of using RPiController::MdParserRPi to parse the embedded data buffer.
